Goshen Medical Center is a private, non-profit community health organization that has been serving eastern North Carolina since 1979. Founded in Faison, North Carolina, Goshen was created with a simple mission: to improve the lives of every patient through high-quality, compassionate health care.
Today, Goshen Medical Center cares for more than 50,000 patients each year and provides hundreds of thousands of medical, dental, and behavioral health visits across dozens of service locations throughout the region. While our roots remain in Duplin, Sampson, and Wayne counties, our network now extends across much of eastern North Carolina, helping ensure that families in both rural and growing communities have access to essential care.
As a federally qualified community and migrant health center, Goshen Medical Center believes that everyone deserves access to healthcare. No patient is turned away because of an inability to pay. For those who qualify, we offer a sliding fee discount program to make services more affordable.

Goshen Medical Center, Inc. (GMC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization as well as a federally qualified community and migrant health center organization, that has served the residents of eastern North Carolina since 1979. The health center’s mission is to improve the lives of each and every one of our patients through quality health care. GMC originated in Faison, North Carolina and serves 52,738 patients and has provided over 182,940 medical, dental and behavioral health visits across thirty-eight (38) service delivery locations as per the 2019 HRSA Uniform Data System (UDS) report. While Duplin, Sampson and Wayne counties are the bedrock of the Goshen Medical Center delivery system, areas as far out as Brunswick, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Onslow and Richmond Counties are included in the largest community health center system in the state of North Carolina.
The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Acts (FSHCAA) of 1992 (Pub. L. 102-501) and 1995 (Pub. L. 104-73) extend Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) protections under 28 U.S.C. 1346(b), 2401(b), and 2679-81 to eligible health centers funded under the Health Center Program, section 330 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act (42 U.S.C. 254b), as amended. Goshen Medical Center, Inc. is protected under this legislation.
As Goshen Medical Center is a Federally qualified healthcare organization, no one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. If assistance is required to meet payment obligations there is a discounted sliding fee schedule available to those who qualify.
